Thou Shalt Not Kill

The Most Dangerous Bill in Congress

The Freedom of Choice Act

The Freedom of Choice Act is:

*“a bill in the United States Congress which, if enacted, would abolish all restrictions and limitations on the right of women in the United States to have an abortion, whether at the State or Federal level” - according to Wikipedia

*a way to make sure that minors can get abortions without having to notify their parents - according to the National Organization of Women (the 5th Q&A), which supports FOCA

*a way to force taxpayer-funding of abortion, according to the Family Research Council (the second to last paragraph) here is a link to the actual text of the Freedom of Choice Act

Once the Freedom of Choice Act is passed and signed into law, no Catholic doctor will be allowed to refuse abortion services on account of conscience. No hospital, Catholic or otherwise, will be permitted to opt out of the genocide. And taxpayers will be required to pay for the abortions of all women who can't afford them. These are sad realities, but they are indeed included in this Act. (AmericanThinker)

Last year, speaking to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, president elect Barack Obama, made a promise: "The first thing I'd do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act," he said.

If FOCA is passed, it will increase abortions by 125,000 more per year in the United States.

I wonder if he has ever heard of "Thou shalt not kill?"

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be (Psalm 139:13-16).

  2. Imagining FOC being passed is simply horrifying. I hope that Obama breaks his campaign promise!

  3. We heard only praise for this man all through his campaign. I started hearing more negative things in his last two months of campaigning and must say he is a frightening human being from what I have been hearing. I am just too far from the pulse of America anymore to judge fairly I feel. I saw a clip where he made references to having children being a punishment even. I hope he really does not believe that for his two daughters sakes.

By the way, I said goodbye to the teal color now. Our doors have been delivered and the new color chosen. I am getting excited to see this come together. My tiny kitchen is in the middle of my house and it is like looking into a black hole because the color is too dark for there. Have you ever shown a photo of your kitchen? I would love to see it. Thanks for stopping by more often lately to comment. I love reading comments from you!

    Hugs ~

  4. I was going to leave a comment, but I'm too angry to talk sensibly. So I'll just talk to myself....

St. Therese

St. Therese, the Little Flower, please pick me a rose from the heavenly garden and send it to me with a message of love. Ask God to grant me the favor I thee implore, and tell Him I will love Him each day, more and more.
