Busy week

Is it Friday yet?! I am already tired and it's not even mid-week. We are booked full for this coming week. In addition to the normal chores - cooking, cleaning, preparing lunches, etc.... we have:

Monday - Basketball practice, school meeting (both at 6 PM!) Dennis is on-call; do laundry; make shopping list

Tuesday - Home bound student; stop by grocery store

Wednesday - Home bound student; do laundry

Thursday -Home bound student

Friday - JV Basketball game; do laundry

Saturday - tax preparation appointment; boys' basketball game (they are undefeated! Of course we have only had 4 games! LOL!); go to church; clean house;

Sunday - collapse
Lest you think I am complaining - I'm not. I just wish I had an hour to myself so I could hear myself think!! OK, so maybe I am whining a little bit - I'll chalk that up to it being Monday!!

  1. Susan, you and Dennis are amazing! Such hard workers, and I don't think you are whiny, only human. I remember being busy too, and without the help of a husband most of the time. I'm so proud of all of you. You make a great team! God bless you all.

    I agree with Grandma Joyce, you are being human. Just try and take baby steps when you feel overwhelmed. I find if you look at the big picture it hinders you from moving forward at these moments. Instead, delight in the fact that you finished a job no matter how small and it will give you enthusiasm to move to the next thing. Have you tried to get up 15 minutes earlier in the morning simply to have 15 minutes of me time? Take a luxury soak in the bath or drink a cup of tea or coffee with a good book or magazine but be sure it is time away from the others just to charge your battery. Maybe that would help? At any rate, know that I am thinking of you and care!

    Hugs ~

St. Therese

St. Therese, the Little Flower, please pick me a rose from the heavenly garden and send it to me with a message of love. Ask God to grant me the favor I thee implore, and tell Him I will love Him each day, more and more.
