Decorating for Spring, Easter, what?

I am in a quandary. I have no Spring or Easter decorations! I don't think I have ever even thought of decorating for Easter or spring. I guess the Easter decorations have always been confined to the yearly Easter basket on Easter morning and put up that afternoon. What to do, what to do....

I just can't see rushing out for decorations. I look at all these beautiful blogs with pretty spring or Easter decorations. I look around my house and I see nothing that would be suitable. I certainly do not want to rush out and buy ceramic bunnies and cute chickens (oh wait a minute...I do have a ceramic chicken somewhere here. I'll look for that later.) I can't see filling up containers with jelly beans since I am married to someone who loves jelly beans. He would eat the decorations. Baskets of eggs would be nice, but since I don't really have any place to set things around like that, I don't think that would work. Plus, the cats will play with the eggs.

Lest you think I am complaining, I am not. I will start thinking about this year for next year. Maybe I will buy a cute ceramic bunny after Easter this year or pick one up in a thrift store.

  1. My DH has been eating the candy in the pretty jars on the dining room table. I keep asking him to please stop eating the centerpiece. He says it can be replaced. :o)
I don't have much for Spring/Easter decor either, but am going to work on decoupage eggs this weekend.
