Packed and Ready to go!

This weekend is tax-free weekend for South Carolina.  I took advantage of this and bought the boys their back to school items, along with new shoes, new underwear, and new socks!   This was the supply list.  I already had most things on hand and didn’t have to buy too many of the items.

4th Grade Supply List - 2010-2011

  • Trapper Keeper Notebook with zipper
  • 4 packs of WIDE ruled notebook paper
  • 2 packs of #2 Pencils
  • 12" ruler (centimeter/inches)

  • 1 zippered pencil pouch (no boxes please)

Hibbett’s had a really good deal and they had sent me a $10 coupon, so we saved lots of money there.

My sister-in-law, who is visiting with us, took this picture this morning in the yard – explains who has been eating the pears!!! Aren’t they beautiful?! My brother said they saw five among the fruit trees. I guess we grow the pears and apples for the deer! It is not unusual for us to see deer and other wildlife in our yard - I just never have a camera with me. My sister-in-law has a brand new camera and it takes beautiful pictures like this one!

New Do

I took the boys to get a haircut to start back to school. School starts back on August 16th for the boys. Nikolai picked out a new style. It’s very short and spiked on top. He is quite proud of himself and wanted to show off his haircut to everyone before he got in the pool.

OK, Nikolai, strike a pose….100_0262

Now, smile like my sweet boy!!!100_0263

Isn’t he just gorgeous?!

On the way home, we drove by the Hospice House and I notice a Pediatric Ambulance leaving. I can only imagine that a young child was taken to the Hospice House for their last days. I said a prayer for the family and a prayer of thanksgiving for my healthy, happy, energetic boys. I am blessed.

St. Therese

St. Therese, the Little Flower, please pick me a rose from the heavenly garden and send it to me with a message of love. Ask God to grant me the favor I thee implore, and tell Him I will love Him each day, more and more.
