I’m back!

I can’t believe it’s been so long since my last post. There are many things I need to get you all caught upon. So many, that I can’t think of them all.

The boys are in full swing of playing soccer. 100_0287

Their season is not going too well. They have lost two and tied one. Seems most of our time is spent tying shoe laces – especially since Deniska seems to kick his shoe off when he kicks the ball! They are having a great time and I always enjoy watching them play. I really get involved in the game and find it too much excitement at times. Needless to say, I think both boys are wonderful soccer players and do a great job.

School is school. We have a new principal and a new assistant principal. That is always a stressful transition. I would elaborate more but I get a knot in my stomach when I think about it all. We had a student to bring a loaded gun to school to shoot 2 of my students. I still am stressed about that. I would have never thought that would happen in my little school. The situation was handled well and no one was hurt. That is the important thing.

The boys got their progress reports this past week. They both received good grades and we are very proud of them. We have also started giving them an allowance every week. That has been great fun for us to see how they spend and save their money. The only thing they are not wild about is giving to the church. It’s taking some convincing to make them understand why we should give to the church with a happy heart. But, aren’t we like that as adults? Don’t we begrudge giving our tithes sometimes? In church school, Dennis has started teaching them the Baltimore Catechism questions.

My brother gave both boys new bolos when he was visiting from North Dakota last time. Deniska wanted to wear his to church a few weeks ago. He looked so cute!

Look at the forced smile!! Just like his daddy…….

I went to a quilt show yesterday and really enjoyed it very much. This is one of the favorites for me. Go to my other blog to see more pictures!100_0305

This coming week is filled with dentist, orthodontist, and other appointments. It’s going to be a busy, busy week.

Well, to any one who may be reading this, I hope you have a blessed week with much love and happiness!

Until next time,

Susan

  1. So glad you are back, Susan. You're worth waiting for. The boys look great, and as usual you & Dennis are doing a great job. So thankful that no one was hurt in the incident at your school. I believe the Lord put a hedge around you all. I sure pray for you, and I'll continue to do so.

St. Therese, the Little Flower, please pick me a rose from the heavenly garden and send it to me with a message of love. Ask God to grant me the favor I thee implore, and tell Him I will love Him each day, more and more.
