It's in the Bag!

Christmas came in July for me this year.  Look at what I got in the mail all the way from Holland!!  I have met the nicest people on the Internet!  One is my friend Heidi of All My Scattering Moments and The Cranberry Chronicle.  She lives in Holland and I have grown to love and admire her for her many talents and skills.  We were having a discussion on being green and using our own bags when shopping.  She related that in Holland they have bags that fold up and she keeps some in her purse at all times.  How cool is that?  Imagine my delight when she sent me two of these for my very own.  I wanted to show you how small they are.  They are smaller than the pocket tissues that many of us carry.  They have their own little pouch and then they open up to ....

...this!  A nice size tote for those things you buy in the store!  So cool!!

Thank you Heidi for sending me these bags.  I just love them.  They are now safely stored in my purse just waiting to be used.  Hmm, might need to go to town and try these out.....

  1. Hi Susan, I certainly agree with you that Heidi is one of the nicest people ever.
and what cute bags she sent! I am so fond of roses and polkadots lately and I guess Heidi is too!
she sent Baby E the sweetest Dutch onesies when she was born, they had wooden shoes and tulips on them- they were so cute and I was sad when E outgrew them.

so, are you going shopping soon to show off your new cool shopping bags?

  3. That's adorable!
By the way, I think I figured out the problem with your link to my blog. The blog roll over there --> links to my old blogger site. You should be able to link to www.chrisworthy.com, but if that doesn't work, the direct link is http://chrisworthy.worthyplace.com/ Thanks, Susan! I hope you and your family are enjoying the summer break!

  4. Susan,

I have a few places around me that sell these bags. I've gotten several of them in varying sizes - and given them as gifts.... They are cute!

  5. Glad you got them quickly and like them! I love using them and am now never caught short when I am out shopping since we do not get shopping bags at the shops. That I think is a good thing though as it makes you stay green.

    Hugs from Holland ~
