Waiting in the yard, with pouring down rain, and resulting in a broken left leg ankle in 3 places and a sprained right ankle! Emergency surgery was 3 AM on Saturday morning, July 6th.
8 weeks non-bearing, physical therapy, doctor visits - what a way to spend my summer!
But, I am blessed. It could have been a lot worse.
OUCH Wishing you a speedy recovery, and that the pain will go away fast
ReplyDeleteDear God I will always be careful on stairs from now on.
ReplyDeleteJohn says did you ask purposely for a 'sexy' scar or what? He gets into these sorts of things far more than I do obviously. Had I not 'ugh'ed he'd not have looked, lol.
ReplyDeleteoh Susan, Susan Susan!
ReplyDeleteI feel so bad for you. I know it could of been worse but even still, I guess you were wanting some rest, right? Do what the Dr says and I hope you are good as new when your 8 weeks are over.
Owie zowie!! I have been thinking of you. My daughter was here this weekend and her best friend sort of did the same thing you did - fell and broke her ankle plus had rotater cuff surgery so can't use crutches. She is using a 'knee walker'. Not sure that is the right name. She rests her problem leg on it at the knee to get around the house. I hope this doesn't become epidemic.
ReplyDeleteHoly Moly - that's a nasty one. Susan, hat's off to you for making it sound so much um... tidier. I think, my friend, you shall have a scar. :-(
ReplyDeleteReally glad you updated! I have missed your blog! Rest !
ReplyDeleteLove, PA
Susan...NOOOO! I just cannot believe this. Sounds and looks awful. How are you to keep up with two boys and all that needs doing in the house?! Ugh, I'm almost crying for you. Are you able to get around on crutches?
ReplyDeleteOhh no!! I am soo sorry :(
