I have been walking for about a month now without any assistance. I am so blessed since I have had little to no problems in walking. I take it slow and I am getting more sure of myself every day and a little faster each day! I have read of others who suffer long after their break and recovery and never get back to where they were. I do not think my foot and leg are swelling any longer. If it is swelling, it must be slight. My handicap parking sticker expired on 11/11/13 and I am glad to say that is about the time that I felt I could walk longer distances.
The only thing that I have discovered that irritates my ankle is kneeling in church! I have to take it easy on kneeling and make sure I do not kneel for a long period of time. Lord knows that I need to kneel but I suspect He understands when I don't! :) I will keep trying until I can!
Take care everyone and watch out for those stairs!
Susan...thought that I would visit some blogs now that I have DSL.What a joy it is to have your blog load so fast.I gave up visiting blogs when we had dial up.The blogs loaded so slowly.Don't blame you for being scared of steps.Happy for you that there are plenty of ramps available to use instead of steps when you are out and about.I love your new shoes. When I first glanced at them, the shoes reminded me of The Bobbsey Twins books.I had patent leather Mary Jane shoes when I was a young girl.I thought of you the other day when I saw a woman using a scooter which I am assuming is like what you used. That was the first time I had seen a scooter like that being used,Enjoy the Christmas season with your family.Jeremy and Mariah were both excited about Thanksgiving like your boys. Now they are counting down the days till Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThank you Nancy for visiting! Our children keep us young and excited as well!!
DeleteI like your new shoes too, that is a new brand to me, but I am going to look them up. I have cranky feet that don't like most shoes.
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to see a blog post from you.
Hi Susan, it's so good to hear that you are walking again! Those are some really cute shoes and I'm going to look up this company, too. I am having a heel problem and have been wearing my ugly, spray-paint splattered tennis shoes because I can't wear anything else for any length of time. I'm trying to get the house decorated for Christmas but it is slow going! Tell Gail hello when you see her!
